SOUTH ISLAND, NEW ZEALAND: SPECTACULAR images of the MILKY WAY and AURORA AUSTRALIS have been snapped by a devoted stargazer. The stars have never looked so bright as they have in these illuminating snaps. The different perspective is due to the pictures being taken on the South Island, New Zealand where the Milky Way is as clear as day. Pictures also show the breath-takingly beautiful Aurora Australis in fluorescent pink and yellow. Kiwi photographer Paul Wilson (29) regularly makes road trips of over nine-hundred miles to reach the optimum place for night sky photography, spending up to four hours to take the perfect shot.
